The challenges? Remove the main heating system in the mechanical room, demolish three 3,000,000 BTU boilers and their associated piping (up to 10") and install the ideal heating system. This meant four new boilers and their associated components, wiring, piping, flues, pumps, insulation and concrete work. Not only was a new heating system required to bring Fenton up to contemporary comfort standards, it offered the school huge cost savings thanks to the ability to use the two condensing boilers during moderate weather and the two cast iron boilers for more extreme winter conditions.
Working with their Project Manager, our experienced and thoroughly trained pipefitters swung into action, completed the demolition and removal of the legacy system and installed everything from the concrete pads to the boilers including power and control systems. We also tested and commissioned all four of the newly installed boilers as well as their boiler management control systems.
Today, Fenton maintains control of their indoor climate as never before possible.
